Heat Resistant Glass and Safety Glass
Neo Ceram
Used in wood and coal stoves (heat resistant to 1292 degrees F.). Can be custom cut and installed in our shop. Thickness is 3/16".

Tempered Glass
Tempered glass is heat resistant from 400 degrees to 500 degrees F. and considered a safety glass. When fully tempered - if breakage occurs - it fractures into small relatively harmless fragments. Tempered glass is used in ovens and fireplace doors, shower doors, cooktops, commercial door and sidelights, auto glass, etc. It is available in many tints and thicknesses.

Laminated Glass
Laminated safety glass consists of two pieces of glass bonded together with a plastic vinyl interlayer. If the glass breaks - the interlayer keeps the glass intact. Available in 1/4" clear, solex green, bronze and gray.

Wire Glass
Wire glass is a safety glass used in door and walls of apartments and commercial buildings for safety and security to meet fire rating burn time requirements. Available in 1/4" only.

Acrylic & Plexiglass - Polycarbonates & Lexan
Acrylics and polycarbonates can both be used in safety glazing. Acrylics are lighter in weight than glass - they can be used from picture framing to windows, doors and machine guards, etc.
Polycarbonates, however, have a higher impact rating and are almost indestructable. Let Centre Glass Company custom cut these products and fabricate them to your specifications.
Applicators, liquid cement and glues available for purchase for the do it yourselfers.
